B7800 Used ??

A friend has asked me about buying a used B7800 FEL, Heated Cab, HS Drive w/ 460 hrs.....$13,950....:anyone:

Not knowing if it's a good deal, wondering if you guys could shed some light on this Tractor/loader......guess it's been dealer serviced and coming from same dealer......

I appreciate the input as I know very little about B7800, just helping out a friend , I've seen pics of it and I believe he said it was a 2004 or 2005 model in pretty good shape.....

He has a several acres of Cabins/Lakefront/Rental Property in Pittsburg NH that he has been maintaining, Lots of snow to handle......

I think the cab option for the B7800 would have been a soft shell cab.

Price sounds a little high. I sold my 300 hour B7800 a few months ago for $10K w/ loader, backhoe, brush hog and snowplow. It looks a long time.

My biggest problem w/ the B7800 was it's light weight, I struggled with loss of traction.

Not a bad price but $13k would be a bit closer to my opinion. As for the tractor, I have a B7800 and it serves my needs as such. It's a good solid tractor for what it is. I think at that price, the owner is trying to recoup a bit of the cab price but that is OK too. Offer up $13K, out the door. If it's at a dealer, there is room for negotiation on the used machine. He didn't allow that amount on the trade-in.

In 2006, mine was US$18.5K out the door (if I recall correctly). That was the tractor, a 60" MMM, and the FEL with loaded rears.

Here's the loader specs. I do indeed like the loader for a lot of uses.
