Has anyone replaced the rear axle seal on a B7800? I am wondering if this is something I can do myself, or if it requires any specialty tools. Any info. would be appreciated.

You do have to remove the axles from the tractor! Then take them apart from the inside to get you to the seals. Why do they need replacement? Haven't seen them yet.

The seal is leaking slowly. I have a small puddle under the tractor every day. 2" in size.

I was just at my kubota dealer, and it seems to be a relatively easy repair. The axle assembly comes off with a few bolts, remove a c-clip and the axle will slide off. I think I will give it a try. Only a 20 dollar part.

Pictures and play by play are always appreciated by the next poor sap that needs to do it.. :)

I have 680 hours on the tractor. Quite a bit of very cold operations since I live in Alberta and have a driveway 1 mile long. I don't know if the cold weather is harder on the seals. I'm guessing it is.
