B7800 Alternator upgrade

I just installed the alternator upgrade for my B7800. Everything seemed to go ok despite terrrible instructions. However, there are 2 leads that go under the instrument cluster. One lead connects to the new 50 amp fuse. The other lead goes where???? I started the tractor, and the battery light was on. Has anyone had this problem with the new alternator. Does the 2nd lead (2 wire) attach to something? Any help appreciated.

SD - what sort of lights do you plan on adding if any. How many are possible with the upgrade?

I already had 2 utility lights on the rollbar, plan on putting in better headlights and will add a rear facing light on the roll bar as well. The tractor seemed to be fine with the 2 extra lights, but I would like extra light especially when snowblowing my 1 mile driveway in the dark winter days.

How many are possible? I really don't know. I would need someone that is a lot smarter than myselft to answer that.

Did you find a kit or piece the upgrade together from seperate parts?

And if you found a kit, may I ask where you found it?

Your local kubota dealer will have the kit. It includes the alternator and all the necessary parts to install it. I found a powerpoint on the web that gives step by step instructions with pictures. The kit was 200.00 canadian. It should allow me to add the necessary lights. If you are interested in the powerpoint, let me know and I can direct you to the site.

Kits are no longer available according to several well known dealers (here). Messick's nor Carver's shows the kit in their parts list. It's all in pieces and requires two substitute parts, thus my reason for asking where you may have found the kit.

I would like the PowerPoint file and would really like to find a kit...
