Hello, this is my first time on the site and I am looking to convert my 3-pt turn-buckles to pin and bar linkage. My question is to find a good source for parts other than my dealer. I have no problem with my dealer we are good friends, I am just looking for new source without the KUBOTA price.

I've heard good things about TractorSmart.com though I've never bought anything from them myself.

I think that the dealer is the best choice. I havn't seen any aftermarket dealers that carry the necessary parts. I would definatly suggest changing your setup. It has saved me lots of time and money from replacing stripped threads on the turnbuckles by converting to the pin type extensions. If you need a parts list there are several posts that list the needed parts.

Don't worry about the price!!!
You'll be so happy with the conversion that you won't care.
This was the best modification I have ever made to my B7800.
You won't believe the difference in changing implements.
Your dealer will know exactly the parts you need (probably more than you think). If he doesn't, find another dealer.

Go to TRACTORSMART, he was able to provide me all of the pieces parts to do the conversion on my B7800--it was almost like he had the entire kit prepackaged, it was around $120 and his shipping was very fast.

In fact I didn't know what parts I needed so I just sent an email asking what was needed to do the conversion. Very good service.

Follow up question - why would this be a good mod?

I own a B7800 with the turn buckle set up and yes, it's kind of a pain but it's workable. Can someone decribe the pin and bar linkage setup and why it is better?

Thanks!

When you pull the pin, the arms telescope in and out like those on a B2910/B3030 (see picture). This is one of the features that make these tractors "premium" over the more basic B7800. Much easier to make small adjustments to line up and attach implements. Like Capt Pat, I bought the parts from Tractorsmart.com for about $120, I think Ronny was the guy I dealt with there. Best Mod I have made to my B7610. To the OP, I do not believe there is an aftermarket version of these parts.

How about the install of these. I have too thought about upgradin from the turnbuckle. Are these easy to do yourself?

I Have a B26 will this conversion work with it? I am willing to try & I have been searching for the part #s on old treads but have had no luck.

Took me about 30 minutes start to finish--no special tools needed.:D

I think that I will bite the bullet and get this done on my L3400 as well. The turnbuckles are a bit of a pain in the rear and I think that these look beefier as well.

I'm not sure that conversion will work on the L3400 since the links are on the outside instead of the inside of the lower arms, and are quite likely a different length. Could be wrong about that though.

The L3400 has its own kit that fits it. The thread just reminded me about it.

Bit the bullet and got the L3400's kit ordered today. Looking forward to doing this conversion when it comes in. It was $185 CDN for the the kit and I expect it will be well worth the money spent.

I ordered the parts to switch my 2620 over also. The check chain parts are the same on the 7610 and the 2620, so I concluded that it should work for the new B's. I'll be finding out soon enough. The stabilizer brackets are a lot more expensive now.

I just ordered a conversion kit yesterday from Tractorsmart.com. Ronnie was very helpful on the phone and I expect to receive the parts maybe in a week or so. He was sold out of the parts and needed to obtain more. He said that he'd sold 3 kits over the weekend, I'm guessing based on this thread...

A side note - I'd guess Kubota dealers and distributors all monitor this forum. At least they should.

I"ve spent too much time messing with the 3 pt attachments - I hope others are right and this 3 pt conversion simpifies things!

Snoho3
