B7610 and TSC Auger

My new to me B7610 with less than 500 well maintained hours is quite the machine for me. Does everything I have needed it to do really well.........Moved 4 dump loads of crushed chert ore for fill, 5 loads of crusher run and spread it, maintains with blade 1/2 mile of gravel, bush hog and finish mower and on and on........Anyway, I have the need for a 3PH PHD, post hole digger, that TSC, Tractor Supply, is gonna have on sale in the next couple of weeks with 10% off. The question for folks who have used this combination or have knowledge of the subject is:

Will my 19 HP PTO drive a 9" or even a 12" auger in clay? Usually damp clay not packed like a rock

Will my 3PH arms raise high enough for this specific TSC PHD/Auger to work?

Yes no problem!


I have the b2920 with 21pto HP and it turns a 12" at just above idle.

What you need to watch for is lift height in relation to your tractor. Ie; make sure to get a subcompact or compact phd

Thanks ericher.............Good to KNOW that 21 HP will do the job so well. That totally reassures me that the power will be there. NOW to figure out if the arms will allow the PHD to go high enough. I called Speeco, the manufacturer of many implements for TSC and asked an engineer about the arms subject. Was truly funny as he had no idea if it would work and advised it was a "trial and error" process for fitment. He did assure me that the model that TSC markets is made for Sub and Compact tractors..........

I was facing a similar problem with my B7610, so I bought something to make sure the PHD would be high enough off the ground - an M4700.

I have an EA Box Scraper, Pallet Forks and Root Grapple. All of excellent quality and work well. I'll will be buying a Post Hole Digger from them this spring. The stuff I bought from TS has ended up being returned when it broke. Just my 2 cents.
