Hello - new to the site....

I have an issue where the tractor wants to keep moving only when there is a force working against it. For example when pushing mulch backwards with my blade. The tractor will work fine when pushing a small amount. The issue starts when I reach the point where traction or power to move the mulch comes into play. I release the HST pedal and the tractor will continue to drive backwards until I press the HST forward pedal slightly. The tractor will do the same this forward too.

I have searched this issue on the forum here and have done basic troubleshooting. I verified the roller is centered on the V bracket and that no branches or anything was in the way. I also centered the adjustment for forward\reverse via the access plate on the side.

Again, when just driving around normally the HST works fine.

I would appreciate any help.

Brian

My B7100 did the same thing and the good folks here suggested that I check the clamp on the HST input shaft. The clamp was loose and caused a dead spot in the control.
Tightening that clamp made a big improvement but I still have a bit of creep at times. I think that's just because the linkage has a bit of wear and play.

Hi Steve thanks for the quick reply

I know this is for a B1550, but do you know if the input shaft clamp you are describing is shown here?
