I'm looking at a 1987 b5200 4wd with 42" mower never been on the tractor, snow plow manual angle. turffs, gear trans,
no powersteering, only plowed his drive way, only 230 hrs, could use new paint, wondering what is a fair price.

I just bought a 1983 B6200 4wd with x613 hours ( maybe 2613, only a 3 spool meter)brand new paint and the following implements :


Bush hog,harrow,rock rake,back blade,plow,


in very good shape, for 3000.00

By the sound you did very well,for my dealer asking $3,995.oo for B6200HSD w/498 hrs,and comes w/mmm...this unit was used for mowing only and its darn good shape.

I looked at a 1986 B5200 with MMM twoyears ago, before I bought my BX. It had low hours, and was in great shape. The seller wanted $5000, and I'm sure he got it.

Just curious,

(1) does the mid-mower operate off of a mid-PTO or a front electrically actuated PTO?
(2) Is the snow plow a front mounted (hydraulically operated) plow or a rear 3-point hitch plow (grader blade)?

Comparing to a Kubota B7100 tractor with mid-mower:
I've seen several gear drive / 4wd B7100Ds with mid-mowers (front PTO) sell for under $5000 that were in pretty good shape, and hydrostatic drive / 4wd B7100HSDs and B7100HST-Ds (mid-PTO) that have sold in the $4000 - $7000 range.

As I remember, the B7100 (16hp) is a more stout tractor than the B5200 (12hp???) is. Therefore, assuming that the B5200's hour meter hasn't rolled over, I'd guess that the value is between $2000-$4000 plus the value of the attachments. I'd value a front hydraulic blade at $1000 - $2000 depending upon the shape of the blade and your need and/or desire for that attachment.
