Hello , I am hoping you guys can help me . I bought a kubota b3300 with loader and backhoe but I haven't taken delivery of it yet because they are waiting on the backhoe. Can someone tell me how long it is, I need to buy a trailer and I think it should fit on a 16' equipment trailer but I am not sure. I would buy a 18' but I want to keep the weight and price down. Thanks for your help

I have the same B3300 setup with an 18' car hauler...16 foot deck and 2 foot dovetail, 7k, brakes on both axles...i wouldn't want anything shorter. Btw, I ordered mine with the R4 tires off of the B3200 which are a little smaller and make the setup a few inches shorter. Trailers seem to shrink after you get one. I would probably get a 20' 10k trailer if I was to do it again for the few hundred extra dollars, but I understand what you are saying as I thought the same thing. But for now I a pretty content with my setup. I have slide in ramps wich are 16" wide with a smooth top which is great for loading small wheel items and a custom toolbox on the tongue...much much easier to work with than an old 14' trailer I had (which was for a different and shorter tractor).

Thanks a lot for your response I am thinking an 18' trailer would be better but if I can get it on a 16' I would prefer that ,the trailer I will be getting is really heavy built and I think it's a 6 ton ,much more than I need but that's as small as he makes. I will be hauling it from south jersey to northern NY state up a bunch of hills so the weight is an issue for me. Do you know the length of the machine? And how do you like it .

With a 12k equipment trailer I am sure you are spending more on a trailer than I did and it will certainly be heavy duty enough for the setup...or if you wind up hauling something else even heavier. It should just fit on a 16' trailer as I think it is about 15.5' long. It is nice to have the trailer a little longer to position the tractor on the trailer as far as tongue vs wheel position.
If I may ask, what are you pulling with? And also, why a heavy duty 12k equipment trailer (not that there is anything wrong with that) but I would imagine that it costs and weighs more than a 7k or even a 10k car hauler or utility trailer.
I like the tractor and BH setup very well for my uses. In particular compared to prior unit I owned. Did you get the rear tires filled and a thumb for BH? Those two things do help.
I went outside to measure and the overall length is a little over 17' from the front bucket edge to the back of the dipper cylinder which overhangs the bucket by several inches in the fully curled retracted position. I think the 15.5' measure mentioned was from another tractor...sorry for that. I hope that helps. Btw, I remember someone hauled their b3200 tlb on a 16' trailer and to have the BH bucket chained flat to the trailer floor they had to swing BH slightly to the side. If push comes to shove you can haul it on a 16' trailer. I hope this helps.

I have a 2010 f250 5.4 gas truck . I have a truck camper that goes on the truck and that's why I need to keep the weight as low as possible. My property that I will be using the machine for is out in the woods and we stay in the camper when we are up there.once I have a cabin built I will leave the camper at home but for awhile it will be on the truck while we are up there. The trailer is overkill for the machine . The company is a local one and the man started building trailers over 45 years ago and he builds the best trailers I have ever seen the welding and construction are flawless and I know of some trailers around 30 years old still in service . His company is STEPHEN GREEN TRAILERS.The 16' trailer is 4400. I believe.i didn't get the tires filled or the thumb but I may if you think they are helpful. Thanks

Note correction I just made at end of my last post on overall length.
The trailer you are looking at sounds nice but it is about 2000lbs more than my trailer!
Just my two cents, but the filled tires really helps with the BH and the thumb is really handy when you want to grab and move something without jambing it against your dipper stick.
What size BH bucket did you order?

I went to the trailer website you listed...no question on the high quality you noted. I see he has a 4 ton equipment trailer listed which might be a little lighter than the 6 ton you noted. Also he makes utility trailers which would be worth a look. It sounds like you have quite a project coming up! Enjoy!

I got the 16" bucket . The trailer weighs just under 2500lbs I believe, he doesn't make the 4 or 5 ton trailers anymore, even his utility trailers are beefy but he says that there not made to carry that much concentrated weight he says they are more for law mowers and such. That said they are heavier built than a lot of equipment trailers I see on the road but he says that it's not the right trailer for this machine and he knows his business so I am going to take his advice. Thanks for your help and after reading your revised post I think I will take your word and go for the 18' trailer .i appreciate your time

If the trailer you are looking at weighs Just under 2500 lbs. you won't have any problem. Unless I misread it I thought you said it weighed 4400 lbs. (unless that was the price), anyway that is why I probably sounded like I was questioning your choice. Obviously you are getting a high quality trailer from a high quality vendor. I am glad you will consider the 18' length...for the extra 1-200lbs. You will not be disappointed.
I've had a few BH bucket sizes and really like the 16".

I'm sorry I did mean $4400.00 but that is for the 16' 6" channel trailer ,the 18' is more but that's the right trailer so that's what it will be. What type of trailer do you use?

You are getting a nice trailer. Mine wasa almost $2k less...I bought an Appalachian trailer. I listed the specs in my first reply. They have a sales office about an hour away in Salem Ohio. I had seen their trailers in the past and wasn't to impressed with the quality and wanted something a little better than what I had at the time and looked at several available brands locally. Then I went and looked at the current Appalachian trailers and felt that they had improved their quality compared to what I had seen 6 or 7 years ago. So I ordered one. I did haul a similar tractor about 400 miles on it and it tracked very well and very smooth.
I liked the ramps real well and a couple other features, but if I had it to do over I would probably get the 20' 10k car hauler. I did order the led light package and found out after the fact that they offered a built in toolbox"...live and learn. But this is ok...unless I get a larger tractor!
