Does anybody know of a non spooling seatbelt retrofit? The stock one is totally unusable for typical applications.

What do you mean?
I believe that's a bit extreme, well I believe it's way extreme. I agree that it's an issue but "totally unusable for typical application"??? I do hillside work and when going downhill then back up all of my tractors have tightened to the extent that I have to undo the seatbelt every so often which is a bit aggravating and then reconnect it. On level ground or on slight ups and down which I think are most typical applications it doesn't cause any problem. But I agree that I would rather have a plain ole me tightening hook up because of my steep hill side.Does anybody know of a non spooling seatbelt retrofit? Instead of replacing the OE belt, is there some way to prevent it from retracting. I know my wife does not like the shoulder strap in the car rubbing on her neck all the time so she simply put a clothes pin on the belt to keep it from going in any further. (Please no lectures from the safety police here. Believe me, I have tried) I realize a clothes pin would probably not work on the tractor, but there must be something you could clamp on the belt to prevent it from retracting. Maybe a zip tie?
Just thought of another idea. If you are familiar with wood working terms/tools, they make what is called a hand spring clamp. It is like a clothes pin, but very strong. Quick Grip makes a 1", 2" and a 3". Get yourself a 1". It is relatively small and I am sure it would hold a seat belt. I know you don't want to clamp it on your finger. They are relatively inexpensive as well. With the clamp, you can adjust the belt to any length you want.
Addendum:
I had some time this morning. So I did a little test at took a couple of pics. The first pic shows the size of a 1" Quick Grip hand spring clamp. I was curious as to how much weight it would hold. The second pic show it holding a 5lb weight on a wire. I have to believe it would hold a seat belt from retracting.
