B3030 Fender

Hey guys while using the Kubota today, a stick came up and wedged between the ground and floorboard. I only noticed it when I felt my left foot raise up. It happened so fast I couldn't stop the tractor. Well it bent the floorboard. Has this happened to anyone else? There is a support bracket coming from the engine, but that is the only support. There are nuts welded to the bottom of the floorboard. I wonder if this is for an additional missing support.

Dealer said he would order new part. He said this is a first, so it must be a fluke. The bolt holes I asked about are for an add on step.
