B2710, 72\" Belly Mower Question
Hoping someone else with a B2710 and 72" belly mower (RC72-27B) can help me out. Specifically need to know the length of the verticle mower arm link on one or two other tractors. The one on mine is 8.5" and seems too long. Had this mower and linkages on a previous B2710 which was replaced, and they worked fine. Both are 2000 models (unless new one is a 2001, not really sure I guess).
Mower deck 'mower links' are shown on page 25 of the mower owners manual (RC72-27B), drawing G-5415. Problem is I cannot get the lift arms connected to the link stopper to keep them up when the mower deck is off the tractor. Appears the verticle link (not named in the manual/drawing) is too long and hits the underside of the operator deck/floor when trying to connect to the link stopper. Misses making the connection by about an inch. Also, when hanging the arms seems much closer to the ground (~4") than the last one. Also noticed something hitting the underside when traveling with the deck raised--would guess it was this link hitting the underside of the operator deck/floor. The verticle link I'm talking about is the one with a slot at the top and a through hole at the bottom. Again, mine measures 8.5" end to end. Also, appears much longer than the one in the picture in the manual--rest of the pieces are the same as pictured. Stumped as to why, as it looks like it was off the old machine. Operator deck looks like it is on right, couldn't go on any other way from what I see. Design change from the last one??
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance!
