B2650 Question

I have a 2016 B2650 cab model. Today I noticed this bracket under the dash on the right side of the steering shaft. It has a couple holes in it like it is supposed to hold something. Does anyone know what it is used for?

It's part of the bracket for the throttle lever. You can barely see the friction adjustment for the throttle towards the top of the picture. Part # 6C430-43210. Look at Messicks parts diagrams for more details.
