I've not seen a recent price on the forum and wanted to see if $17900(from the local dealer) was good for a B2620 with MMM and FEL. I have a quote from Barlow's which only saves me about $600, but that will mostly be eaten up by delivery fees. Thanks in advance for any help/feedback.

Don't know what the MMM is worth, but I got a price of $14700 for a 2620 with LA364 FEL back in December. Ended up getting a 2920 for $700 more.

Thanks for the insight as I can't see where a MMM would be worth $3200 in the difference. It looks like I'll need to reach out to another dealer or two(but that adds quite a few miles if I have any problems with it.) I appreciate it.

The mid mount mowers are pretty pricy. I want to say mine was 2600.00. Try asking the dealer if he has a good rear mount finish mower, save some money and keep your local dealer.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot and see where it goes. Appreciate the responses.

I was quoted $3500 + $400 for the PTO option for my L3240 to add the MMM, this was the 72" unit, but the Kubota MMM is expensive. A finish mower is more generic, can be different brands, works very well, easy to instal at 3Pt Hitch, (no need to slide under belly) and I saw one used for $800 at the dealer.

If you consider the RFM then I recommend you get a good one unless your grass is a LAWN "smooth".
I bought a RFM some years ago for a some what rough "yard", not a lawn. The RFM was red with perfect welds that were almost invisible, well they were invisible. It was Red and I think was a Jolle?, Steve Barlow told me French made. It broke on me a few times and I told him he'd sold me a piece of junk. He told me he would give me what I paid for it toward a great RFM, a Landpride. He said I wanted cheap and that's what he sold me and he was right. I think the Cheap one was around $1250 and the 6' Landpride was around $1700. I paid the difference and we traded.
The Landpride was a Tank and you could see every weld on it and it was heavy with a capital H!:) I used the RFM behind a B7800 and a L3240. When I'd reach the bottom of the hill and make my turn the Landpride would turn the B7800 when it swung around to the downhill side. It didn't phase the L3240 which was twice as heavy as the B. The mower swinging the tractor wasn't a problem since I knew it was going to do it. The Red pretty Jolle? deck was so light that it didn't do the swing thing.
I prefer a RFM for open mowing, hooking up to the tractor, unhooking from the tractor and servicing. I also prefer the rear discharge because my experience with three rear discharge decks are a better spread out cut grass instead of the piled up rows of the side discharge. I've had both types and that is/has been my experience. I also like being able to get up close to "stuff" with either side of the deck.

Thanks. I may have to just bite the bullet on the MMM. The better half will be spending some seat time cutting grass and the RFM swinging the tractor around may end her helping quickly. How bad is the swinging as I have similar terrain? Do you think weight up front or loaded tires would help?

Never mind the weight, it's the size and swing arm of the rear mower deck that could be off putting to certain folks. You really need to be aware of that thing swinging around in the back whenever making turns around other stuff.

I darn near wiped out a whole row of tractor implements test driving a 2620 that had a RFM on the back. I had asked the salesman if we could take it off the 3-pt before I took a spin around the yard, and he said "nah, you'll be OK". Well, I was having so much fun I totally forget it was back there, and came within inches of hitting the row of implements. I told him afterwards that's an example of bad short term memory....

It's the same reason I have a big "Don't forget to lower the ROPS!!" sign with orange ribbons hanging on my barn entrance. In that case, the sign actually smacks me in the face before the ROPS would hit the door header. It's the only way to be safe until I build a bigger barn...

I had a FEL on the front of the tractor but it really wasn't an issue, the swinging the tractor. I'd get to the bottom of my hill and cut the wheel sharply a bit sooner than I normally would and the deck would go on down and just gently make the tractor turn back up the hill. It wasn't a tilting feeling and I sort of liked it but I've always liked playing on snow covered parking lot in a car.:) If you drive slow on the turns it probably wouldn't do it but I didn't drive slow.
Just have to remember you have a bigger turning circle and women would probably be more careful than most men and it wouldn't be a problem.....many times.:D
