B2320 Pricing

Well, I've run the Bx2360 and the B2320 around my property, and I'm convinced that the B2320 is the better machine for me. I thought the BX would be more stable on my sidehills and rutted sidehill of a pasture, and it is...until one of those little front tires finds a rut. I also like the construction of the B. It's probably more machine than I need, but with the folding ROPS, it actually gets into more places than the BX. The B I tested had turfs, but I am buying with R4s...I hope they don't tear the yard up too much.

Ok..to my question: How good of a price is a 2011 B2320 with LA304 FEL, 60" MMM, R4's, for $16550?

It hurts just looking at that number, but the alternative of a lawn tractor, a plow for my pickup, a rototiller, a bad back, and paying someone else to do a lot of my chores is less appealing.

If that price is delivered to your driveway, it would be exceptional. If we are still adding tax, prep and delivery charges, meaning it's really $17K, keep pushing harder.

My initial reaction to the $16550 figure was that it would look about right for a 2620. But I went to the Kubota website and it looks like the current pricing is about $18365, so you are being offered a 10% discount. I know Architect has been recently shopping so assuming his $18k is a recent firm number, there is usually about $2K difference between the 2320 and the 2920. Maybe it is worth offering $16K which would be 13% off the new list. You can also contact Barlows for a quote.

I think you will like the B. I have had my 2920 for 3 years and never wished it was smaller. Some of the feeling of stability vs the BX is real as it is only slightly wider wheel base but several inches taller. But some of it is perception too because when you are up higher, any angle feels worse. Use caution and good sense, keep the bucket low, when moving at all and you will do fine.

In reference to tearing up the yard with the R4 tires; there have been some here who were disappointed in that regard with the 2320 and others who noticed next to nothing. Search the board for more discussions on this, there have been plenty.

I bought my B2320 (FEL, 60"mmm, R4's) about a year ago for 15.9k plus whatever PA raped me for in tax. I mainly use it for mowing so I considered the BX as well but just thought for 1k more (gear model), why not get the B series. Talked into HST for a total of 2k more. The HST is better for some things and I think the gear would be better in some areas as well.

Overall I'm quite happy with it at around 60 hours. Just changed all the fluids and what not...pretty easy. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is get the bar turf tires. I didn't know they were available at the time...still don't see much about them.

We have Industrial tires on our BX2660 and John Deere 2305 and have no problems with them tearing up the grass. As mentioned, some report lawn damage with the B Series and some don't.

We use our BX all over our 300+ acres and it is extremely stable on side hills and just about every where else, but those small tires do make for a rough ride. You also don't have to worry about ground clearance on the B Series. I am sure you will be very happy with the B2320.

If stability is a concern, you can get spacers to set your rear wheels out, some even put them on the BX.

I am about to order my B2920 and am ordering the BAR Turf tires, 1" lower than turfs and 1" wider per side, so wider track for slopes. Also could order wheel spacers to widen track for R4 or normal turfs, if stability is important. Spacers will not work with bar turfs and mid mount mower, the guide wheels get in the way.

The ground clearance was one of the biggest factors for me...that and the slightly larger tires even at the expense of COG... while on a precarious slope, I hit a 6" deep rut that I had just driven over in the B previously without incident, and the Bx went 3 wheel on me requiring a quick turn down the slope.

I forgot about the bar turfs as an option....how do they hold up to loader work? A skosh lower and a skosh wider would put the B about perfect for my crazy slope of a yard and pasture. Except for the 40x40 vegetable garden and where the barn and house sit, I only have about 300sq ft out of 2 acres that doesn't have some significant degree of slope.

Just got my B2620, and I have to say, it is one nice little tractor. I was considering the BX, but the ground clearance just wasn't there. I wanted a tractor I could use to dig in the dirt with. I thought the B2320 was where I wanted to be, but there really wasn't much price difference to go to the B2620. But to go to the B2920 was enough of a jump for only a couple of HP that I really couldn't see doing that. Same frame. Same FEL. I love the thing. The pricing you gave sounds around what I paid with FEL, 50" LP tiller, and filled R4's, but before taxes and fees. Now I just have to wait for the dirt to dry out.

Bar turf tires are great on lawns, great in snow, had them on a B1750 years ago, but did not know what they were called, great with loader work, excavated/ leveled site for above ground pool about 24' by 36' that started as hillside, until the B2x20 came out did not know they were available anymore on tractors. My experience with R4's was on L3010, hated them, no traction on pavement, poor for snow traction.

Talked to the dealer today. Bar turfs it is. I'll be going down to dicker over that last few dollars and hopefully fill out paperwork tomorrow.

When you get down to the last few immovable dollars, have him throw in:
oil filter, HST filter, hydro filter, air filter, and fuel filter. Tell him you want your filters for the 50 hours service and he's got a deal. This would be a $100 value which is not huge, but it is darn convenient. We're looking forward to photos!!

Just bought a B2320hst, optional back light, valve, lever kit, with 60" mmm delivered for $13600 not including tax.

OK, deal is pretty much done. May not be the greatest price, but the local dealer was very gracious in leaving 2 tractors at my house for almost a week, and has been great to work with. $16550 includes prep and delivery, tax is extra, but the 50 hour service is free, along with pick up and delivery.

Grabbed a Land Pride 60" back blade and 1250 tiller for $2300 also.

Should be here tonight or tomorrow.

I'd say you did great. Now it's time to forget about the dollars and enjoy the tractor and the tasks you'll be doing.

I actually have to go back and look at paperwork to remember what I paid. It isn't important once the deals done.

Yep, 60" MMM. I'm happy enough with the price, and I've got a list of chores a mile long. It also snowed last night about 2-3", so maybe I'll get a quick chance to see how the bar turfs work.
