My father recently purchased a b2150 that was not maintained very well.The transmission 3 range selector lever will not budge from the medium range position.Any ideas? Is it just stuck at the pivot point?

It is similar to the B8200 I used to have. There should be a zerk grease fitting on it. Mine was gummed up when I got it used. Took some cleaning and penetrating fluid to free it up. And then regular grease on the zerk.
I some times idle my tractor down, then reverse the direction of travel. You might find too that you can hit neutral, then go from there. This is based on my B3030 experience.
