Any reason why I shouldn't buy a B21 (no backhoe) expecting to keep my current little 3-pt hitch backhoe? I'm assuming that I can buy the Kubota backhoe underframe and have the Koyker hoe welded onto it. The Koyker hoe is their smallest one, it only digs 4 or 5 feet deep. Weighs 600 pounds. The spec on the B21 hitch is 1000 pounds. Someone here has probably done this, whether they post at this corner of the forum or not.
Thank for your replies. Joe

Joe, the B21 has a backhoe design that only fits the B21. It is a 4 point hook up to a sub frame that serves the loader and backhoe. The B21 backhoe fits close to the tractor, more so than backhoes on most compact tractors, and the seat swivels around for backhoe work. (No separate seat)

I suppose anything is possible but I believe you would have to do some major reengineering to both the tractor and your backhoe to make it work.

Linpat, the backhoes for Kubota’s TLB tractors (B21,L39,L48) are for sure made by Kubota. I am not sure about the backhoes they sell for other tractors in their line. I happen to have a friend that is in the metal business and makes some of the parts for Kubota that are used in their backhoes. (Makes a lot of JD parts also) Now the bucket on my B21 is made by Woods and says so on it.
