Today was the day I was going to install a block heater on my B21. Thought I had a hex large enough to fit the plug that has to come out. I was wrong, or lost it.
Anyone know a cheap source of large hex wrenches, etc?
Harbor Freight has large Allen wrench sockets. You will need a breaker bar and some heat to get the factory plug out. It was hard to get mine out of my B2400 block. I used a piece of hex rod and a 3 foot pipe wrench and preheated the plug with a torch.
So, filled the cooling system then went to get a fan belt. Got back and there was a little pool of green liquid in the heater housing. Cleaned it up thinking I may have spilled some. In less than ten minutes the puddle was back. Keeps growing too. Wonderful.
