Price Check B-7800 TLB pricing question

Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to purchase a new TLB and haven't been having much luck.

I have been looking at Mahindra but couldn't get a dealer to budge on his inflated pricing (way over MSRP). He tried to charge me extra for everything to the tune of almost $3,000.00 over MSRP and then discounted it back so it looked like I was getting a real deal but still way over MSRP. He wanted to charge $400.00 installation on loader (that came on the tractor) and $750.00 to install the backhoe, $360.00 extra for a bucket, $300.00 to load tires, freight on everything.. on and on, over and above Mahindra's full retail prices.

So I started looking at a Kubota. I don't have a dealer near me so I looked about 400 miles away and found a dealer that has a B7800, LA402 FEL and BH-75A backhoe. This is what he is asking.

This (he said) is his first and final price. Does it sound in line. I can't find the "build your own" link on the site any more and since there aren't any MSRP prices shown I am totally in the dark.

I've seen some prices for the B7800 here but most had MMM and I'm not getting a mower.

Any help or insight you could give would be very much appreciated.

Minus the delivery charge (i'm very close to my dealer) , that quote looks right inline with what i was getting here in NH.

I'm in NH too, and got quotes of $16,200, $16,400, and $16,900 for the B7800 with 402 loader, and the one quote I got for the BH75a backhoe was $6992. I think your quotes are very much in line if you have a good dealer. Good luck!

Chris, with only having 3.5 acres I think the 7800 will make you a good tractor with more then you need. The prices are about right as much as I still have difficulty with freight, with the fuel prices being what they are, we will be seeing more!

All prices seem inline and fair. Did you get my PM a few days ago about the B2320 and B2620? I think the B2620 would fit your needs as well and you may be able to save $2-$3000 over the 7800. The 7800 is a proven and reliable workhorse though.

I have 3.5 acres of open ground, and another 10 acres of woods with some short trails. I looked very hard at the B7800 but in the end I chose the B2620 since it will be a better fit for my land, and will give me enough extra money to add a nice chipper up front. I do have many tight places, so perhaps the B7800 is better for you. I would like the QC bucket option, and pehaps the greater lift capacities, but I'm also very sure that the B2620 will handle all my needs with the smaller / cheaper implements that I will be wanting. Good luck in your choice.

Hi MDM, Yes I did get your PM and looked at the 23 and 26 but I need the deepest digging backhoe I can get on the smallest tractor. That narrows it down to the B7800 and BH75 backhoe. All others are in the 6 foot depth range and anything bigger requires a bigger tractor.

Looks right to me but I would look into the Woods BH over the Kubota. you will get the same depth but it is curved so the operating vision and quality is better
