I was thinking about getting a new tractor.I am looking towards the kubota b 26.I dont have a business right now but ,i am going to be doing a lot of work getting a piece of land ready for a pole barn ,house ,and driveway.I dont have very much land for a big farm tractor ,i just sold my 60hp tractor so ,im keeping it smaller.I guess my question is what is a b 26 going for ,i want a newer one,acually i want new for the warrenty,Could i get a price one these !!.My other question is does anyone on tby use this tractor for their bussiness and how does it seem to perform. thanks

Search on B 26 and you will get several hits - pricing varies but expect new in the $27K range and used low hours $24 - see Carver Kubota - they advertise here for pricing example.

Go to this link and at the top left click on the "build my Kubota" link. It will give you list price for the tractor and all options. That will give you a start. You should be able to buy one for less than list, maybe a lot less depending on what part of the country you're in.

I have one that gets used for business and about everything I should use a bigger tractor for(like loading trucks and moving pallets that weigh around 2k) To date we have not broke anything but I only have 30hrs on it but it has saved us from renting mini excavators or larger backhoe for jobs that only take 30 minutes with this machine and may have only took 20min with the right machine. It is a lot more versatile than I would have thought, it has save more than it payment in rental fees every month. It works great with directional bore rig as it will pot hole utilities and get in to very tight spots up against buildings.

As for prices I would shop around and not be afraid to make low offers, but I would get the thumb, 4n1 bucket on the front and quick attach buckets on the hoe. I built a 28" material bucket for it and it handles it very easy, but for trenching and most of the digin the 12" gets used (Smaller hole less mess).

Remember its not a bobcat, excavator, lawn mower, road grader, trencher, or engine hoist, but it will do till I own a big enough trailer to haul everything on.

Thanks for all the advice.I called for a price from one of my local dealers and they never got back to me ,kinda feel like thats how the service will end up.I seen they go for around 34,000,man i wouldnt think they were that much!Im up in New York and would travel to get one under 30,000.

I just bought a used B26 for personal use. It had 300 hours on it and I only have 12 hours of seat time so I'm new to a B26. I had the thumb installed and it's great to pick up rocks and especially logs. Again I just got the tractor but in 12 hours I used about 17 liters of fuel (a bit less than 5 US galons), I wasn't doing very hard work but I was moving gravel around and dug a 30 m trench in hard packed earth. I alos had a block heater installed (it get's down to -30c here) and I also had a remote control installed for the snow blower.

The only gripe I have is the FEL controls are a bit touchy but that's probaly simply a lack of experience on my part. I loocked long and hard and although a B21 was more what I wanted to pay, with the rocky land I have I wanted to go a bit bigger.

Thanks guys,i will give them a call,is the 2008 b26 any different than the 2009 looking at the slightly used ones also
