Can anyone tell me if the canopy on the B-26 can be replaced (with a minimum of fuss or fabrication) with a Fold Down ROPS from one of the other similarly sized tractors? I'm contemplating buying a B-26, but that fixed awning will definitely be in the way for a couple of my primary operations and needs!

THANKS!!!

Ditto on that question. I've been thinking the same thing.

That 4 post canopy frame adds strength to the machine, especially the loader. I would think if you started cutting the posts, you'd seriously impact capacities and safety, as the B26 has a significantly stronger FEL and backhoe than the same sized B2630/B3030 with the fold-down ROPS. Not to mention, you could basically say bye-bye to your warranty when you started cutting up the structure.

I think your only option is to go with a B2630 or B3030 with the folding ROPS, or a larger L series to get the higher capacities.

Another well planned action would be to purchase a smaller set of front and rear rims/tires for the clearance problem- such as is typically done with farm tractors for example-swapping the row crop tires for a matched set of front and rear combine tires-slightly lower ground clearance/lower overall height/same size machinery footprint etc.

The possible use of (MATTRACKS rubber track conversions systems for 4x4 vehicles) track drive comes to mind as an option as well or the kubota track drive system.

The new tire and rim option is much less expensive or troublesome than losing or voiding the valuable warranty.

The frame is done that way to meet ROPS/FOPS standards for job sites. I suspect you could probably change it to folding without too much trouble, but you would void the warrenty.

I too had to rule out the B26 because I don't want to own anything that won't fit in the barn...

I am building a new home and plan to add extra height to the garage door to allow our B26 entry. The B26 is listed as 89.1 tall and standard garage doors are 7 ft or 84" I plan to install a 8 ft door at 96". This problem does prevent many purchases. Good luck
