Aux lamps 2320

I am confused.

I am adding some fog lamps as aux lamps on the back of my 2320. I used them on my car and they were fine. So they work when I use the factory 2320 wires and factory 2320 switch when I hold them in my hand. But when I mount them to the metal bracket to the back of the tractor (black rops area I blow my head lamp Aux lamp fuse. What in the heck? I have done automotive wiring for years - what am I missing gang?

a wire inside the lights is grounding out. you are not completing the ground when you have the lights in hand but are when the lights are mounted. open them up and see if there is a bare spot on the wires touching the housing.
