Auto Throttle Control

Anyone use the auto throttle control on the Ehydro, tried it while plowing snow yesterday and not sure if I like it or not.
What do you guy's do?

Anyone have a JD tractor with auto throttle?
If so do ya ever use it?

I had a Kubota with auto throttle. I didn’t like it. I prefer to adjust the throttle manually. My biggest complaint with it was it pretty much kept the tractor at 2700 rpm.

That's why I was asking, seems to really rev the engine when you press the peddle.
I usually run the engine at 1800 to 2000 RPM while using the tractor.

Another problem is it doesn’t fit how a HST is supposed to be driven. When the going gets tough you need more throttle and less pedal. Not less throttle and less pedal.

I use auto-throttle when pushing heavy snow;I plow my woods road about 1/2 mile long with an 8ft.front FEL mounted plow.The way I under-stand it;it up's the throttle and lowers the gear ratio in the HST.Seems to work well,never stall the tractor when using it.

The auto speed setup up on the TYM tries to maintain engine rpm by slowing the wheel speed, I use it when the cruise control is set. Problem I have is it takes to long for wheel speed to return. It's most noticeable during heavy grass cutting, therefore I only use it when the grass is beening maintained regularly, unless I know of a bad spot that may slow the unit.
