I finally got to the deer camp after all the TX hill country flooding. The rancher warned me that some of the ranch roads were pretty washed out, so I brough the new Yamaha Viking. Glad I did, the rancher wasn't kidding. I filled some feeders last night and then got out early this morning and sat for pigs. I had this medium sized sow show up right at daybreak, so I dropped her. So, the new SxS now has been christened with blood.
I'm liking everything about the Viking, except the noise. Maybe because it's a single cylinder, but it's just a tad noisy. I might see what options I have for quieting it just a little.

We sold the Rhino and got a Viking VI instead, it holds 6 people and feels a bit more solid.
They are a bit loud as gsGanser notes, however they do sell a quiet muffler for them.
We can ride this on the street and the local police don't mind at all, so long as you dont pretend you're Evel knievel.
