The snows all but gone, but the ice is still hanging in!

It gave way leaving the tracks a 10-12" edge to try to climb up from the creek bed. Both ahead and behind. Then even though I was being cautious it threw off the front left track and needed to be lifted out.
Both my forester and I had a good hike out and fortunately it was open enough to get my tractor in to it for the rescue.
I need Arly's style of track, but these happened to come with the machine. They're fine in the snow but much more than a 6" blunt obstacle... those little 8" front and back idlers won't climb over.

Seems your track(s?) was under tensioned or you got idlers with bad bearings. Detracking is not a good day! 😵‍💫

I've done it twice, early on in my ownership (not knowing better) and yesterday. Both times were "climbing" over a blunt edge. The tension seemed to be fine and I had no trouble in the snow.
I like the high leading idler wheels on your 6x6 although that design might not be possible for a SxS with the body differences. 👍

You need to get the tension checked. We can Camso pods for years and only detracked once, when bearings had failed.

Don't usually post f/b links, but couldn't find the picture in my gallery. Here is a screenshot of picture.

I know that dune buggy. That's the honda odyssey. I had one as a kid.

Couple I have in my photos. Don't have any of My atv plowing snow but have one afterward thaw out in the shop.
