Can you move a 16ft trailer with your atv? View attachment 4154200
This trailer weights much and has some furniture in it. It squished the 6x6 right to the ground. Of course I didn't use it to move it, just wanted to see if it could.

I think the fully loaded camper in post #155 is a 22 ft. My Toro Workman is rated for towing 3500 pounds, so unless it was loaded to the max, a 16 ft wouldn't be an issue.

What model Toro Workman do you have?

"Kentucky" is the white cab industrial 3210. It came without hi-lo, diff-lock, bed hydraulic and remote hydraulics. Those have all been added. It is also propane powered. "Black Hammock Island" is an open station 3210 with a rear pto. "Stuart" is an open station 4300 4wd. All have 3 cylinder Mitsubishi engines. I recently acquired two loads of parts machines that will be split with my TN buddy. He hauled off all my previous parts machines in a trade, so I needed to find some more spare parts. I don't like Toro prices for parts.

Kentucky also came with a flatbed, which i swapped out with a bed that had sides. I built a tailgate for it.

Made this bench just now. I saw the split slab out on a walk today and it got me thinking...

Planted an acre of winter rye last night. Will frost seed clover into it in February

Do you ever see yourself wanting a SxS rather then the 6x6 especially when it comes to hauling?
Yes and no. The operator visibility is better on a atv while the box is modestly larger on a utv. Which is more important to you? I have operated both.

I have also had both a SxS and ATV. For me I would choose SxS all day every day. But I've never had to deal with snow.

Personally, I have always been an ATV guy because a tractor used to always be available to me. Even my sub compact with a few trailers I have work great. An ATV fits in the bed of my truck. The pure size of a SxS has always been a little limiting to me but I have started to take interest in the Honda 500 or 520 SxS. I like that its smaller but has 2 seats.

I'm curious what you folks who live in snowy places do for UTV tires. I've got Carnivores on mine and they're awful in snow. I've done winter group rides in WV and nobody seemed to do very well climbing snow covered hills.

I cannot speak on UTVs but have to assume tread pattern on an ATV would still work well on a SxS. I, and many other I have rode with in the past, have always been big fans of Maxxis Bighorns (or the knock off sunf) pattern. They aren't the best in mud but were great in snow, in my experience.

We use pods, since tires bit when you get real snow. I have very little experience with tires in snow.

Vbar tire chains are helpful. Only use to plow not winter rec ride though. Which is frowned upon and I believe illegal on groomed trail systems up north.

I ended up with a Honda Pioneer 520 for exactly that reason: I wanted something smaller and lighter. I have a tractor for the heavier jobs, so the 520 is a nice complement to that. The two seats was a nice bonus as well

I tried using my 50" self contained tow finish mower behind a 50" wide Honda sxs hands down its easier to use with a 4 wheeler over sxs like you mentioned visibility is key especially if your taking it into tighter spots mowing around things. .

My UTV tires are ATV tires... very aggressive. They'll tear up turf without trying.

Once you're past axle depth in snow, you're beyond what you should be trying with a SxS or even an ATV. The friction and surface area on the bottom of a UTV becomes the problem and you'll eventually high-center yourself in the snow.
