Attachment storage

One way to make it easier to get to is to put the pallet on casters. I know many people on here will build a custom "pallet" for each item. If they are on wheels you can easily move them and store more in a tighter space. I think as I get more I will do that. Right now I just have the FEL which stays on all the time and a rotary mower. When it is off there is enough room in the barn for it. As I get more toys that will not be the case. But putting them on pallets with casters will make it easier to get more in the same amount of space.

I go one step further with some of my implements, like my Jinma chipper. It's rather top heavy so I strap it to a pallet then put the pallet on 3 (I think) of the Harbor Freight 18 In. x 12 In. 1000 lb. Capacity Hardwood Dolly which I get on sale for about $7. These make for easy man handling. I've got my 5' tiller on 3 dollies.
I've probably got a dozen or two of the dollies supporting stuff around the shops and have only broken one in 5 years.

Most of my stuff sits outside. The grapple, bucket, and pallet forks sit inside. The small stuff like the trailer mover is inside too. I keep some attachments on pallets so I can easily move them.

I built this shed for all my tractor toys:

There are not enough bays for all the toys, but the dollies I built to make them easier to hitch up also allow me to move them around so more fit in:

I'm fortunate to have a lot of room for storage in my barn,

I store almost everything inside. Prioritized as mentioned by others earlier. I don't store anything on dollies.

If you get to the point that you have storage buildings, notice I say buildings plural, have a building for machines. Have a separate building for "stuff". A LOT of building space is killed with "stuff". A multi-hundred dollar attachment sitting outside so there's room in the building for a $5 lawn chair. We all fail in this regard. Better to have a "stuff" building.

I'll +1 dollies on wheels if you have the luxury of a smooth cement floor. Creative nesting lets me store a 1025R FILB, 3038e w/loader, 60' box blade, 72" landscape blade, 72" landscape rake, post hole auger, 6" Jimna chipper, 60" finish mower, 60" tiller, 3pt carryall and shelf w/diesel & lubes, compressor and generator plus propane jugs under cover in a shed with a 22x20 foot footprint and everything man accessible as needed. Wheeled dollies also make hookups soooo much easier. (The structure was specifically built to be dedicated to tractors & attachment storage).

rake & blade are same form factor, so their dollies can nest

Things get shuffled around as I use different items.

I have three sets of "forks" for different uses, a firewood/snow bucket and a hydraulic angle snow plow. It is not uncommon to switch 3-4 times a day. Even my wife knows the signal to "pull the pins" to change implements, all of which are sitting in the snow on old tires. If I emptied my quanset hut I could store things inside but my stuff is too valuable to toss.....
A nice wide 16" tire on its side will keep the pins of the tools above most of the snow (until it starts getting deep) while letting me get the hooks on so I can lift and curl so the pins line up
