At Wit's end, clutch pedal return spring for 455D ???

We have a JD455D crawler loader with the foot pedal steering. The left pedal return spring is broken. I ordered one as close as I could tell and model, but it is far to large diameter and isn't right.

I have searched google, ebay, and any tractor part place I could find online, but no luck

I've been away so long due to illness that I was pleasantly surprised to find my login still worked!

If anyone can help me find this elusive part, I would be very grateful :thumbsup:

I saw the drawing you posted, but thought that was the traction clutch pedal, not a steering pedal. I hope that's the right spring! All I could find was lever steering and gave up.

I think you're right.

Since there is plenty of room for a replacement spring, I would take the one you have to a Hardware store and see what you can find. We have Menards locally and they have plenty of springs in their specialty hardware sections

If all other sources fail; this spring is easy to make on a lathe.
