Anyone out plowin?

I just did my route twice. Yesterday before rush and today before rush hour.
Had a couple non-contract calls I just finished.
We didnt get nearly what the weather guessers said we would.
Predicted 10-15. Said it would be a crippling storm for northeast US.
Got 6-7 over 2 days. Another “ boy who cried wolf “ snow event.

Im south of Boston and all the weather PROs were saying 4-8" ...all day...its coming..its coming.... My weather app showed 37-39* all day...thats usually rain to me. ...Long story short...my laws got 3" of water and zero..zero snow.

I did some plowing, blowing and shoveling all last week, got about 2ft total.

We got 14" in Central East PA, North NJ got 20-28" which is unusual for them. Mr brother on LI said at least 14" +
Last nights snow was light, todays was mixed with sleet and was heavy enough to bog down the tractor a bit

Mostly a dud here in MD...

The snowpocalypse of 16” was more like 4” but we did get ice initially that made a hard pack layer under later snow

Used my Kubota and Boss V plow to bust it up - No problems

We have good friends who live in outside Whitefish. Absolutely beautiful country. Glacier National Park is unbelievable.

We got about 5" but spread over 2 days. All told, I did my tight (1/2 mile) route 4 times - plus a few yesterday afternoon to get the ice up. I would have preferred one large dump so I could use the big blower once and be done!

We had about 7 to 8 inches. Used the Kubota X1100 and Boss V plow a few times over the last 3 days. Had the big plow on the Kubota M7040 ready just in case. These are the smaller snowfalls that the RTV is very good at plowing

Had to blow away a few drifts that blocked my drive yesterday before we could go to the city. Pick-up probably would have blasted through, but it was still ground drifting. Might get stuck getting back in. At this age I don't like taking chances.

I had to drive 80 miles each way, to Gillette Stadium for a Covid shot,... through the forcast big snow.
Thankfully the big snow did not happen.

12" here in Central PA. 3 hours plowing Sunday and 4 yesterday with a 620 JD and rear mounted 7' blade - no cab.

We received about 3" of new snow last night so that puts us with about 16" to 18" on the ground now which isn't that much for us. I will probably clean the driveway tonight if I feel up to it, but maybe not. I won't clear the other areas I usually clear, instead just let it accumulate some.

There is an older couple that lives down the road a bit from me, they shovel their driveway so if they haven't already shoveled it, I will push them out when I do mine. I have a sort of dilemma with them. Every time I push their snow give me a package of meat or cheese or something. I keep telling them no but they just set it in the tractor and walk away so the last time I told the guy (88 yrs old) that if they keep doing that I will quit pushing their snow. I went on to tell the guy that I am just doing them a favor, nothing more so at some point if I need a favor then I will let them know (I won't but they don't need to know that). Until then I don't want or need anything. I hope I didn't insult them but when I do a favor there are no strings attached, I don't want anything including recognition.

Oh shush, you. A bit upstate from you got OVER 30 INCHES. As well as most of northern NJ. Sorry you expect square mile accuracy on your weather predictions, but get real.

Yeah, I had to take off my MK Martin inverted blower yesterday and put on the 7' rear blade to scrape slush in my steep driveway outside Glacier Park last night. I'll leave it on for the remaining season for now until conditions changes. Wet rainy winter in Montana. Lowest snow conditions in the 23 years I've lived here.
