Just wondering if anyone makes a front loader for my Ym 146. Would like for it to be relatively plug and play

There's no place I know of.
I don't think the YM146 is built heavy enough to handle a front loader.

This just came up. A good way to do several things. No FEL. on my YM2000. It would have to be QA. etc. and really not what the tractor was intended for. FM,Tiller,BB. all 3pt.. I use a rear scoop. My guess it will work for quite a few things. Cheap! Be surprised.

This group might be of benefit. No harm in trying it at least.

If you’re handy with a welder or willing to adapt mounts from other tractors, a custom front loader can be a rewarding project, but make sure you factor in proper hydraulics and weight distribution so it doesn’t overload the front end. Many folks use universal mount kits and tweak them to fit the YM146, which saves a lot of trial and error. While planning the build and sourcing parts, some owners take brief breaks with Sugar Rush Slot: Play Free Demo & Full Review (2026) to keep the process enjoyable.
Thanks for the link. I will check it.

I'm going to say your Garden Tractor is perhaps heavy enough to have a loader similar to the earlier JD 400 series, but I'm not certain. Here is a link to your tractor, and it appears to be a nice heavy unit that would handle a small loader.

However, I don't know that one was ever made for it. I've seen people put loaders on machines your size. I saw my BIL build one for his 400 series mower back in the late 1990s or early 2000s. They won't lift a ton, but they will keep you from slinging mulch bags or raking gravel, and 100 other things you don't want to lift.

You won't find anything that bolts up easily or is plug-and-play, as you mentioned. I can tell you that for sure.

Good luck in your search though.

I had posted a reply, but it seems TBN didn't post it.

The YM146 is based on the YM14 aka GT14 lawn tractor.

The YM126 is based on the YM12 aka GT12 lawn tractor.

Both have the CAT-0 hitch. Both can run the front snowblower.

As for a front end loader (FEL), the frame is not strong enough to handle those loads nor is it capable of adding in a sub-frame for support.

As your machine is a GT frame, not even an SCUT, a Rear End Loader (REL) can be used.

As you can see, a REL works well with a YM146.

You can fabricate your own like the images above or just buy one to mount to a CAT-0 hitch setup.
Prior to 2020 (pre-cootie19 era) the price for the Swisher bucket is PERFECT for your machine. It was $229 USD back then. Very reasonable really.

Home Depot sells this for ATV/UTV for farm use or snow removal.

Its a kit.

And for the YM GT models up into the YM146, it's mounted just like any other GT garden tractor.

And it is universal to mount on the front as well.
Long as there is a from CAT-0 interface.

Now, on the cheap, yet durable, buy a simple 55-gallon metal barrel. Cut it in half from top-to-bottom. Now you have 2X buckets.

Or a little more professional looking.

This would replace the Swisher bucket in the rear too.

I found this one in the EU made by Iron Baltic.
The hitch to the CAT-0 is not robust like the swisher though.
