OK if it's wrong, why did it work?

The minor tweaks made an unacceptable machine semi-tolerable.

By the way, I verified the suggested changes with Kubota, Non-U.S.

Just because you don't know about it, doesn't mean it's not so.

This was done with Matt's permission and using the phone number on the website.

Exactly. If you dont know the answer, ASK. If you havent heard about it, research it so that you understand it, then make your decision based on fact, not just opinion. These are basic skills that any good mechanic should have.

I am an open person. If anyone does not agree with anything that I say, or want to know more as to why I say it that way, ask me. Everybody has their own way of doing things, but do not shut out my ways that work until you have tried it for yourself.

Well said. Imagine if all the mechanics from all the companies communicated all the time like this. Problems would be fixxed at a lower cost to everyone with a higher level of customer satisfaction resulting in more customer and dealer loyalty.

Glad you're back Matt...I was concerned, to say the very least.

Glad to be back. This is a nice group to talk with, and I really enjoy helping others get these issues fixed. Whether Kubota cares or not, I do.

We do. There are web based services interfaces that are used for that.

Not getting cranky with you, but why did you say that Matt wasn't correct if this information is readily available, and it works? Of course I'm referring to the RTV's.

I'm glad that you are a supporter of TBN and you have a great reputation based on everything I have read here.

Just seems that Kubota USA is behind the curve on some issues and it could cost them customers, like me.

I know that Kubota does have an online tech support for dealers, but at least the one here is not really that helpfull right now. They might get better, but who knows. New Holland on the other hand has an exceptional online tech support that is second to none.

Im really not trying to ruffle any feathers on here, just trying to better a product that is widely misunderstood.

My offer still stands to MessickFarm that if he or some of the employees disagree with me, lets talk about it to further everyones knowlede. This is why the web based interfaces as you call them were created. Lets all work together to cure the common problems, because as we all can see, these are not just issues faced in Canada.

matt, sounds like you could help. the rtv 1100 i have is a turd, the engine seems to rev but the trany sounds like it is just slipping. most hills require low gear, sometimes you can use med, and high only works with a tail wind and flat. any thoughts?

Is the engine bogging down when it feels gutless, or does it just stay reved up and slow down?

You should be able to climb most any hill in medium, other than extreme grades or heavily loaded. Low is a slow but powerful gear on all rtv's, and on the ones that I adjust will spin all 4 tires long before they run out of power. Hi range on the diesel rtv's is basically for flat ground only, or very small or short climbs. Most of the time they perform the best in medium when top speed is not needed. Either way, what the engine does as far a bogging or reving tells a lot about what the transmission is doing in your machine.

no the engine does not bog down, it stays reved up.
