I've found myself doing the same "silly thing" when clearing snow with the backblade. I know it doesn't work, yet I seem to find myself doing it again and again ... arrrrgh. I can't seem to stop myself!!
What is it? Well, picture running the tractor with the blade up, getting lined up to the snow, dropping the blade and beginning to move it off to the side. Look back and see there is still hard packed snow on the driveway so .... I wind up pressing down on the 3pt lever harder and harder trying to get more down pressure. BUT the machine DOESN'T HAVE DOWN PRESSURE! Arrrgh! I know that. I've known it for years and years and years. yet, it seems my hand expects pushing down on that lever (that is already bottomed out!) will make the blade dig harder.
Silly!
Anyone else do silly things operating the tractor that aren't bad, but have no benefit?
