remove the wire off the fuel solenoid, it activates to shut off fuel, after a short time it releases so remove the wire should run no problem

I read up and found a decent video about Kubota fuel solenoid. Mine has a 3 wire connection. Before the arctic blew in I was close. From what I gathered. There are 2..12v coils that together open to allow fuel flow. 1 coil takes more amps and only operates momentarily. Then a low amp coil holds it open. I added a switch to manually operate the low amp coil.

Ill update when its running reliably.

on my fuel shutoff coil only 2 wires one being ground, when starting the coil is not energized, the fuel free flows, when you turn key to off there is a timer circuit that energizes the coil and shuts fuel off, after a delay the coil power is cut and solenoid opens fuel again, fortunately the motor is stopped.

had a time there where the delay circuit was open and motor would continuously rum until I pushed the plunger to manually shut off fuel.

on the Jacobson the fuel shutoff is closed until the key is turned at which time fuel can flow

Hi all, anyone have a wiring harness for a 1986 217D? Mine has been overcharging terribly and I tried a new rectifier/regulator that did't help. Must have a ground fault somewhere. Now the wiring started smoking and I need to replace it as it's quite crispy all over :(.

I did to no avail.

Thanks though.
The previous owner messed up the wiring and several of the connectors on our 220D.

I temporarily installed a toggle switch to shut off the lift pump. Otherwise it ran non-stop.

I've resigned myself to the fact, that if I want it right, I'm going to have to take a day and fix one wire at a time until it's right.

Luckily I have a running parts machine to copy the wiring harness. schematic.

They aren't quite the same. One is a 223D the other a 220D.
I never figured out the difference in schematics while looking at both schematics on separate sheets.

They're very similar.

Howdy, has anyone tried to use a deck from a manufacturer other than Toro on their groundsmaster? Mine didn’t come with one and there is a front mower ford cm274 for sale locally cheap. It’s non running but does have a deck, brush, and snowblower. I’m in Kansas and I rarely see anyone selling just a deck in my vicinity.

I think anything can be made to work. Just allow plenty of time and extra money!

Not too familiar with either mower you mentioned, but in case they both have a mechanical PTO output, I would first check couple of basics like PTO rotation direction of Ford CM274 vs. your Grounds Master?

Also the lift capacity of your Toro vs. the Ford deck weight etc.

Some cutting & welding will likely be required to make the lift arms fit.

looking at the deck on the ford verry similar mounting to the Toro, if it was me I would fabricate whats needed and make it work, not sure about rotation but Im sure the blades could be found, PTO hook up you may have to change the mounting end and length

go for it you likely will pictures of progress, just finished mounting a Case 422 blower to a Deer F725

Anyone have a toro 300 series with a McKee 220 snowblower? I’m trying to get mine set up and could use some pictures for reference. Also heard you need a different lift arm to run the blower. Any help is appreciated!

I did a search on the forum and this info on the company came up: Snowblower - snowblower

No pictures that would help you.
