I need an affordable riding mower that is capable of lifting and moving my trailers. I use a drawbar in my Kubota now but really would like a mower with the ability to handle this task. prefer 2wd and gas power for costs sake.

I can move the items in question with my snapper but I have to lift them to the hitch ball. I have some issues with my back so that option does not work so well any longer.

thanks in advance.

What kind of trailers are you talking about? Are they on concrete or in dirt/grass? I think something like they pull small planes or boats around with might work, it is just an engine powered dolly with handle steering controls. I'll see if I can find a link.

6 1/2 Horse Power Gas Powered Do

Something like this might work, kind of pricey though. Good luck with your search.

That really depends upon your trailer sizes and their accompanying weight issues. Sears Craftsman has an electronic lift, as an accessory item for their larger Lawn & Garden Tractors - I believe it to be the same one sold by Johnny Buckets. You can find this lift @ www.Sears.com - then go to Lawn & Garden; tractor accessory items and "Voila." :D

Or you can go to www.JohnnyProducts.com and check-out their version of the same thing. The unit at Sears is presently on sale - regular $399 for $359; the Johnny Bucket version generally sells for $459. I believe that Johnny Buckets may even make this unit for Sears, as they appear to be very close in appearance.

To my knowledge no one utilizes on of these special lifts on their Lawn & Garden tractors as "standard equipment." Whether one of these will work for your particular situation is totally up to you. ;)

thanks for the replies.
my movement is on grass and concrete. my snapper rider moves them w/o much of a problem as long as I lift them to the front mounted hitch ball.

i move a 18ft mud boat, a 17ft center console boat, a 16ft flatbed, a 14ft jon boat and a 5x10 utility trailer. 3 of those i cannot move by hand at all.

the johhny lift use a 12v motor and actuator and I actually have one (actuator) just like it.
I can fab a similar frame but the unit is too large and would cause problems with any bagger.

i think i knew the answer when I posted. no one makes what i want. i will have to go to a small garder tractor like a kubota bx model I assume.

seems like a great option for the mfg's to offer? i would pay an extra $500+ for a mower equipped with such.

thanks again.

Well you can always buy an older small Kubota or other manufacture.
I have a little 2WD 15hp Mitsubishi that I use for my trailer moving, bush hogging, tilling and water carrying duties.
These little tractors are just easy to to use.

Looks like you should have kept the B7510 like I should have kept my B7500:(

Do you have a tongue jack for each? With that, there should be minumal, if any lifting at all. I have a tongue jack on two of my trailers, boat and the 16' utility.

I was thinking the same thing as CRBR, and they make one with an electric motor, if the cranking is also a problem. Or maybe you use a small electric jack that you would just move from trailer to trailer to lift the tongue so you could get the hitch ball under it.
