Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
I feel like smokin' a doobie

Me too, but I have to remain employed for a few more years. With my luck, 4 days later I'd get hit in the head by a falling light fixture, no fault of my own, but I'd have to take a drug test. Then they'd say "pot in your system" and I'd be fired. So, I'll wait for it to be legalized in Indiana some day. Until then, I'll have another root beer.

I think the way current lottos are run is really sad. I mean who here needs 460 million dollars(or even the 250 mil after taxes)? Think about it, would not 250 One Million dollar winners be better? I don't know about you, but a million take home is a life changer for me and my family. Every bill would be paid off, money put away for grandchildren's college fund, help out those in my family that deserve it and the rest goes into savings. I would not even buy a new truck because I just don't need one.

I think these mega lotto's just play on those that think their life will be better at 250 mil as opposed to a much smaller amount. When in fact running the ticket sales up in a frenzy just lessens everyone's chances. So when I do buy a ticket it's for smaller jackpot's with better odds.....but some how this also has not worked out for me either:laughing:

Is that $1M before or after taxes?

The lady down in GA that split the $648M jackpot got almost $120M taking the cash payout. It's a long ways from half of 648 to 120.

I have a friend that won 2 Super Bowl tickets years ago. He told me it ended up costing about $1000 when you count the hotel, food and plane tickets. I can’t remember which team he was rooting for but they got their ass kicked. I won a fire extinguisher at a local hardware store drawing once, it was dud and had no pressure in it.

My wife has won a few bucks on the lottery, but I suspect she's not won enough to pay for her tickets over the years. My Sister in law won 100k at the casino a few years back. I got a telephone call the other day; apparently I won 2.5 million dollars in the Publisher's Clearing House drawing, and I never entered!

It doesn't take millions. I made $100,000 in 15 months on a piece of real estate in the 1970's (tax free in those days) and it changed my life forever. I never again felt hopelessly broke and depressed after learning how to handle money, even after giving almost all we had to my ex and starting over again.

I won $410 twice on $5 keno bets. ($1 per round)
Once when I was fresh out of high school and once a few years ago on a snowmobiling trip in the UP.

It's nice going in somewhere just expecting a meal but you end up walking out with a wad a cash
(anything under a $500 keno win is paid out immediately on the spot)

When I was on the snowmobiling trip I bought everyone in the bar a around, good times.
