Another "What is This" Thread...

I got this cheap thinking it would be useful, but some internet searching turned up nothing. It's a "Go Flo Meter" as printed on the label.

The knob on the right side of the first picture has graduated markings on it as if it controls something very precisely. The housing aroud the shaft at the top of the second picture has "Defco A156" molded into the housing.

What does it meter?
How does it meter it?

It's a fluid flow control apparatus. It's used to regulate the flow of liquid from a movable vehicle. You can read all about it at this link.

The anhydrous ammonia thing makes sense. I wonder if I could use it with pesticide application. I guess Roundup is out of the question since there's bare metal inside of it.

It looks like the flow indicator that should be on the top is missing.

It could have been used innumerable different liquids.
