I found a toothbar for my JD 955 60" bucket at a friends tractor business. It is 66" long,
but I should be able to cut it down & weld it back together to make it fit. He wants 140.00
for it so that would be a pretty good savings for the extra work. On this toothbar the
teeth look to be slipped over a stub & have a driven pin holding them on. Is this how most
of the toothbars are made? Are the ones from Carver made this way or like the ones that
I've seen that were for a skid steer loader that had solid teeth that were welded right on the bar.
Those are considerably heavier & probably too heavy for my tractor. Hope you can understand
what I mean.

Woods sells toothbars made both ways. Their Heavy Duty toothbar has replaceable teeth (and will fit on over a replacable cutting edge), the standard one has welded on teeth.

The toothbar I got has the replaceable teeth. I paid $303. $140 would definitly be worth the extra work.
