Hi everyone. A word or two of introduction.
Just bought my first 'real' tractor - a year-old B3350 with the cab. Been getting by for 22 years with a garden tractor but mowing 7 acres has really taken it's toll on that poor Craftsman.
My new machine comes with a FEL and a snow blade w/hydraulic angle option. The primary usage will be snow removal but I anticipate doing some wildfire mitigation (scrub oak) and rough-cutting the meadow with a brush hog next year. My wife's crystal ball tells me a post hole auger might be in my future too! What a woman!
Still waiting for the dealer to finish resolving the DPF issues before accepting delivery. The service guys tells me the national Kubota rep has been out to work it over with him. Apparently the ECM needs to be replaced because of a known problem that has since been redesigned. Seems the DPF tells the computer "I'm clogged up" and the computer keeps responding "But I just cleaned you!". Now the Kubota rep said to replace both the ECM and DPF at the same time. Sure hope this isn't a sign of thing to come...
Which reminds me - I need to search the forum for a checklist of things to go over before I accept delivery.
