How do those articulating machines hold up? It seems like there would be a ton of stress on the pivot point in the crap we go in. I guess they must hold up good if this is your second one(I think).

So far so good. One of my machines needs bushings in the articulation but it has 4000+ hrs on it so. I think the previous owner was on the no maintenance plan. Crawl anywhere tho and cut like a champ.

I've heard good things about lamtrac. The salesman here called me right after we bought the GT25 with a killer deal on a 6125. If anyone is looking for one he had a new one with demo hours. WAY under list price. We would have jumped on it if it weren't for the Gyro Trac.

Just to chime in for a second here if I may. Excellent question concerning the articulation and its reliability. Its one that we get often, and understandibly so.
We have been selling articulated machine since the early 90s, and have had no issue with them at all. Of course they need to be maintained and cleaned periodically, but with the advantages it gives Lamtrac machines in terms of ground pressure and operator comfort, it is well worth it. The newer model machines, LTR8290Q and LTR8400Q, have self lubricating bushings so that even greater reduces the maintenance of the articulation.
