Another newbie looking for help

I have been lurking here for months and have learned a great deal about compact tractors. The amount of knowledge and experience on this site is amazing.

With your indirect help over the last few months I have decided to buy the Kubota L3830 Hyd. The price I got on the following package seems fair, but I wanted your opinion.

L3830 Hyd w/R4s $16677
723 Loader $4350
720 Bush Hog Box Blade $600
RDTH 72 Bush Hog Mower $1600
Bolt on Tooth Bar $250
Hyd. Log Splitter $895
Curtis 150 Tiller $1350

I'm not sure of the name on the splitter, but it is HD and will work horizontally and vertically.

I am not familiar with the Curtis tiller, but will only use it to work in the small garden.

Any further help will be appreciated.

I'm looking for the same machine, but a different setup. You don't say whether you have the QA or HD bucket, these add about 600 to the loader price. I have quotes of 21,500 and 23,000 for the 3830HST R4, 723 w/QA, HD, wear bar, 1 set of hydraulic remotes, and a hydraulic toplink. I'd say if you have the HD + QA, you're in the right price range.

Dunno on the implements, though.

Thanks for the help. The tractor was quoted with foldable ROPS, double acting valve, quick attach and hooks. I asked about the HD bucket, but the dealer said the buckets were much better than in the past and suggested the tooth bar. I'll have to see for myself before I sign on the dotted line.

One of the great effects of this site is that it can help someone relatively new to tractoring to find out enough before buying to pick out a list like you did.
