I built this contraption er attachment, out of ABS pipe, and duct tape to string deer fencing without a second pair of hands to help. It worked quite well. I'd like to know how others have dealt with it? I think the same arrangement may work for wire fencing if one just just metal pipe instead of plastic...

If I could see a picture of this, it would help me figure out what you built.

Diggerdave are you experiencing technical difficulties on your end? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Try your attachment again we would like to see your idea.

I'm not sure he intended to add a picture to his post. He was just telling us that he built this thing and thought his description would suffice.

I could be wrong.

I like that -- great idea! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Trying to deal with that by yourself without such an innovation is a real pain.

Nice! May I ask, where did you purchase your deer fencing?

the fencing is Deer/Bird fencing and as such a little lighter than some other that I was considering. I bought it locally. Don't know the maker off the top of my head but next time I'm on the farm I'll get the info. That's a 300ft roll 7ft 6" high and weighs maybe 40lbs. fairly light stuff. I hope it lasts since it's not cheap. I think it was $170 per roll.
