I always get in on one side... but sometimes it is the right and sometimes the left. ;)

@GPintheMitten

I would be SCARED !!! If you can get in on both sides at the same time, hehehehe :D

LMAO @ GPintheMitten

I always get off the left side, cause my clothes usually end up getting caught in the joystick, but yes, i must confesse, it should have 2 doors:laughing: I plan on removing it this spring and do a few mods, things i didn't think of before.

Can I add something else to your Spring Projects?

Why don't you get a Car Windshield Washer Pump? That way you can wash your front Window with that nice Wiper. It's cheap on Ebay $18 Pump and some Cheap Windshield Fluids and Wires, and a Switch and you are good to go :D

What i have been thinking to change on my cab;)
- Adding a right side door, not that i will enter from that side, but just to access the joystick and 3pt levers
- rear side opening windows.
- Move the switch board location to the right side, just above the fender.
- Make ducts on the heater so i don't get cold feet.
- Remove that ugly lexan on the front and install a nice sheet of metal.
- Windshield washer
Well that's what i can think of now:laughing::D any suggestions are welcomed:thumbsup:

Hey Karl, FWIW, I never use the right door on my M5040 and have never missed having right hand door on the cab I built for my L3000DT.

Was interested in your comment about the sound level being bearable in your new cab. My L3000DT is very loud to the point I simply wear ear muffs with a built in radio.

Does your Kiota have sound deadening from the factory on the floor boards and cowl?

Anyway, congrats on a very nice job, was interesting following your build. Regards, Roy

Thanks for the comments Roy. Now to answer a few questions:D My tractor is not HST, so the engine isn't always at 2500rpm. When traveling at road speeds the R1 tires make more noise than the engine/ tranny itself. I have the cab pre-wired for the radio, but waited to try it out before installing it. If it was too noisy, no use having a radio.:(
For the floor i did use some 1/2 inch rubber mat, installed over the metal floor board.
The cowl is left as it was from the factory, although i will later (this spring) i will add some of the material i used for the top.
