Hi Larry,
Actually I did try the LocTite. It did not stand up to the punishment. I've used the deck a few more times in heavy brush. The shear bolt breaks and I keep relacing it. I may try drilling the center of the shaft and installing a large bolt in it with a large washer. I have a 7 foot mowing deck now that keeps most of the brambles at bay in our fields. I will need to do something with this deck to repair it or replace it this coming summer. I have a lot of brush work to do in our woodlot now since we had it logged in 2010. I will poist whether or not I fixed or replaced it when the time comes that I do something about it.
