Amazon packing gone wild!
Two windshield squegees were shipped a box that could have held a hundred.
Can you tip your Amazon driver?
Amazon's 'Alexa, thank my driver' campaign is back for a limited time. Amazon is reviving an initiative to show its delivery drivers some gratitude and a little extra cash.
Ordered a 25' 30A cord for my generator for $75 and a couple of bottles of beard oil for $25 Dec. 12. As of today there was no sign of either of them being shipped. I looked online and Princess Auto had a cord on for $65 so I cancelled the order for both and took a drive into town and picked up the cord, oil I wasn't concerned about. Got home and lo and behold it's too late to cancel as the orders been shipped...isn't that strange.
I just saw a young woman in a new Lexus SUV deliver next door, presumably Amazon or UPS. They must pay really well.Had a UPS delivery today. The guy showed up in a regular mini-van with the UPS logo attached to the door.
I asked him where was his truck?
He said UPS is so busy this time of year they hired him as a seasonal, allow him to use his own vehicle for deliveries and he gets paid a fee per mile and a “really good” hourly wage.
He seemed happy with the arrangement.
He was 55-60 years old.
A little impatient aren't we? I have NEVER gotten an Amazon order in 2 days...it's generally 3-4 days before I get the notice that it "shipped" (meaning label was printed), this time of year likely longer.Ordered a 25' 30A cord for my generator for $75 and a couple of bottles of beard oil for $25 Dec. 12.
