You know - it's amazing that Bota, and especially Deere ever sell a tractor with all the stories I hear about snobby dealers. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I have had great experiences at a number of Deere and Kubota dealers in CT. Frankly, the worst dealer experince I had was with Kioti - and I stopped looking at them after that.

Steve my experience with Deere, NH and Kubota was fine. I suspect some dealers may just need to consider a new profession.

/ Am I wrong for being pissed? #24
My experience: Kubota guy was an Ahole. Another Kubota dealer, an Ahole. Deere guy put offish, but I sensed he was way too busy and in over his head and needed help (short staffed). I went New Holland because the service was there. Yes, I'd be mad too about your experience.

Power king is a chinese brand right? We all know chinese tractors dont have very good resale values. So i dont blame the Kubota dealer.

My Kubota dealer is so nice and will go out of his way to help me. Rodney is great at Lansdowne-Moody and Steve is great when ordering parts.

I don't lame you for being mad, I would have done the same thing.

Personally I did not like dealing with the local Kubota dealer, he had no clue of what he was talking about. In his defense he seemed to be new, which I could forgive but he acted like he knew everything. Price was not much better than JD.

Blue was out when the wife couldn't get the seat low enough for her to comfortably reach the foot controls. Needless to say I am not the only one who gets seat time. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Dealer seemed good but price was higher than the Deere. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The Deere dealer was very helpful and really seemed to want to get us into the right machine. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for all the replies, as far as that dealer is concerned I just won't do buisness with them anymore( I'm not naming them on the board cause of respect for TBN) it's their loss because I am eventually going to buy new but it won't be from them.
In reply to soundguy, I'll post some pics of the powerking in a new thread

How would it be disrespectful towards TBN ? TBN is the medium we use to past information amongst tractor owners/would be owners etc.

I don't think posting a dealers name with good or bad info about them is disrespectful to TBN. If you don't give the owner a chance to rectify the situation, cause you refuse to do business with them, i can understand not naming them. However, if you did contact the owner and ask for compensation and none is given to your satisfaction, then you should indeed post the facts and the dealers name. To me this seems more in line with respect to other TBN potential buyers. Its good to know as much as possible about who you are thinking of spending your bucks with, and TBN helps spread dealer info, both good and bad.

I agree. How many great posts have been here about Ken Sweet? Tons, and deservedly so. Likewise simply name a dealer if they gave poor service is not unwarranted. It's not harrassment. I would use caution about posting little nit picky things however.

Therein lies the problem, 'nit picky' is in the eyes of the beholder. Hence the TBN Terms of Service.

That may be true, and explains why some posters are suprised when their writings are edited or removed.

Not entirely true, but more so than it should be. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Everyone should read the Terms of Service and the FAQ.

( Went to a kubota dealer Saturday and saw a b7100 manual trans w/fel 1600 hours, I asked the owner of the shop how much and he said $6000. I thought the price was fair and told him I have a powerking w/fel and belly mower for trade, he said bring it up and we'll work something out. So I went and loaded up my tractor and mower and brought it back up( btw it was a 60 mile trip one way)
Now the salesman comes out and tells me they can't trade on mine cause the market has changed on used tractors and they wouldn't be able to get anything for it.Now this is the same guy I bought this tractor from last summer and there were 4 other people looking to buy it
I told the salesman and the owner to go get bent( that's putting it nicley). Sorry to be so long winded /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif )

Why didn't you ONLY deal with the OWNER himself /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif?? As I read it, he's the one who told you to bring yours in /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. G

My intentions were to deal with the owner only, but the salesman weaseled? his way in , after that the owner couldn't be bothered talking to me. I don't know what the relationship is between them , but it sure seemed to me that the salesman was running the show.
