Oops, I'm assuming stuff again.

How is 'this' pulley held on ?

I bet your going to need a puller.

A two or three jaw puller to put a little pressure on the pulley then tap close to shaft with brass drift to make it pop loose. Or put alternator in vise or something to hold in place and put two pry bars under pulley close to shaft and work loose.
Penetrating oil before attempting to remove will help.

thank u all for your responce. i have to remove the nut that is holding the pully. i need the shaft to stay tight so i can turn the nut off with a wrench.

Then I stand by my first statement, 1/2 impact.

If not available, steady a box end wrench on the nut and smack the end with a hammer handle. Hard.

Grip the pulley with a twisted rag wrapped around it and a pair of gloves.

the rag idea sounds good but i would like to use some kind of clamp that could hold it strong. is there some kind of pully holder?
