alternative stump grinder idea

Just tossing around an idea in my head. Would you be able to fabricate a disc, drill and tap it to accept the stump grinder teeth. And possibly mount it on a 3pt post hole digger. Instead of the traditional stump grinder this would be more like a drill method but it would just grind it down. Do you think this would work>

I don't think the auger would be strong enough to handle a very large ' drill bit'. The torq needed to turn an 18" hole in dirt broke our boom-to-lower link attachment, in wood, you'd be lucky to turn 6".

I suppose you could use a drill bit like this on your post hole digger: the cone screw pulls the chisel wings into the stump.

When it jams, i hope your tractor has the possibility of driving the PTO over the main gearbox like my Zetors have, so you can use the reverse gear to inverse the rotation of the PTO to unscrew it.

Maybe put a stickler on the PTO shaft?

Then you could "drill" down and split it to pieces.
