Allis B 3-Point Hitch Question

I have seen 3 point conversion kits for my tractor. Is the hydraulic system neccessary to use the impliments? [I plan to use a single bottom plow and a small disc harrow.] I understand it lifts them when manuevering however, don't they free float when is use? The tractor is a 1939 and I'm having trouble finding a pump. Thanks, Mark

If you don't ever plan on raising the implement...I guess you'd be okay....
I bet someone here could help with a pump.
