Air conditioning failure

Need help with the A/C on my 2013 DK-45 SEC. It stopped when baling hay on a 95 degree day of course. Tighten the A/C belt so it puts out cold air for about 2 to 4 minutes before the compressor stops and the belt squeals. The low pressure is around 40psi for the first couple of minutes and the heads for 100psi and the compressor stops turning, the A/C stays engaged. I have not serviced the A/C since new.

Sounds like your evaporator is plugged and no airflow and not allowing the refrigerant to evaporate causing the compressor to try and pump liquid. If it sits for a few the liquid will evaporate and allow the system to work again for a few min. Make sure the coil in front on the radiator is clean and has lots of airflow.

Ditto on cleaning both coils :thumbsup:
Also check the blower wheel for dirt crusted on the blades if possible, you have to eliminate any cause of low airflow (any type of filter?) before digging any deeper.

Time to hang the "BOAT" label on the DK 45 and haul it in to the dealer to work on the A/C. Put high and low gauges on the system and was reading 30 low and 225 on the high with lots of cool air coming from the vents then the compressor stops with a belt squeal and the compressor doesn't turn over by hand until it cools down a bit. Will try to get the dealer to order some rim guard for the back tires while it is in the shop. "BOAT" bring out another thousand

Tractor still at dealer waiting rimguard and a second rear remote. The dealer said they just tighten up the A/C belt tight and the A/C is working okay. Hope that is the fix but probably should order a new belt since the old must be stretched and worn from slipping. Looking forward to the rimguard for grapple and tree shearing with the second remote for mowers etc.
