Air Compressor

Last month my air compressor and chainsaw was stolen...
I have found a Speedaire 2 stage on Craigslist for $500...
Was rebuilt and has low hours...
Seems to be a good buy...
New they are around $1300...
I tried to get him down on price but he was firm...
Any comments would be appreciated...

Hard to know who rebuilt it, how completely, or how well it was done. How old is the tank? Any chance of it being badly rusted on the inside?

Just some thoughts, but overall . . . I'd say buy it.

Hi Bird,
In talking with the individual later I found out that the repair was performed by a reputable repair center here in the Hickory area that is owned by my old boss...
I'm gonna go and see it this weekend and get his name to run a reference on the repair...
The pictures of the tank and compressor unit look really good...
I think that this might be another good Craigslist find for me...
If it works out I will post pictures...
