About noon today, I caught a glimpse of bright orange out of the corner of my eye. Good Gawd-Amighty - the new Kubota is here!
Not one, but two! I wondered if my wife ordered one, too? His and Hers?
But the other one was headed for Manhattan, KS, I believe, Marvin (the driver) said. A very nice man who explained everything and answered all my questions. I tried not to act too giddy when he told me to look it over while he was stowing his chains and binders.
I pulled it down the driveway and parked it where I could look at it from my computer while I set-up the first online payment through my bank... Something that expensive and beautiess (that's a word, right?) you just want to admire for a little bit before jumping right into using it.
I finished washing the dishes and sacked the trash before the "primary bread winner" - (as she calls herself) came down the drivway
I mowed a couple rounds (barely needed it) and moved several loads of mulch over to the ornamental grasses.
The thing that impressed me the most was how Easy it was to Drive. Comparing the old Ford Powermaster to the Kubota was like going from bulldogging a steer to driving one of those kiddie cars at the carnival - nice...
I folded down the Rops so I can put it in the shed before the monsoons of Isaac gets here.
Thanks to Brady Barlow for an easy transaction and a good deal.... Thanks to Marvin for getting her here in one piece with nary a scratch...
